Winning the "You're Sure They Meant Me" achievement is less about raw skill and more about setting up the right situation. You need to score a run with a pinch runner whose speed rating is 26 or lower. That sounds awkward at first, but it is easy to arrange once the lineup is prepared. A few spare minutes in the settings menu can save plenty of failed attempts, especially if you have some MLB 26 stubs available for broader team-building plans.
Set Up the Game
Start from the main menu and open the gameplay sliders. Raise Human Contact, Human Power, Human Timing, and Human Solid Hits to their highest values. Then reduce CPU Pitcher Control, CPU Pitcher Consistency, and CPU Reliever Stamina as far as they will go. The idea is simple: your hitters should make solid contact often, while the opposing pitcher should struggle to keep at-bats under control.

Build the Lineup Around the Requirement
Choose a Double A opponent, such as the Portland Sea Dogs, then select a team with a qualifying player on the bench. Rafael Devers is a practical option because his live series card has a speed rating at or below the required mark. On the lineup screen, remove him from the starting group before the first pitch. He should appear as a bench player, with no defensive position number beside his name.
Place the low-speed player on the bench.
Reach first, second, or third base with another hitter.
Pause the game and open the Manager menu.
Select Substitutions and choose the qualifying player.
Score before the inning ends.
Get the Runner Into Scoring Position
Once the game starts, focus on reaching base rather than forcing every pitch. A single or walk is enough to begin. Moving the runner to third is the cleanest option, since any ordinary fly ball, base hit, passed ball, or deep drive can bring him home. You do not need a dramatic sequence. With the sliders adjusted, a patient at-bat usually creates the opening you need within a few batters.
Make the Substitution Count
When your runner is ready, pause and open the Manager tab in the upper-left corner. Go to Substitutions, select the runner already on base, and replace him with the slow player from the bench. Return to play and drive the ball into the outfield. As soon as that pinch runner touches home plate, the achievement should unlock. Check the player's rating beforehand, because roster updates can change attributes, and keep cheap MLB The Show Stubs in mind only for other team-building needs, not for this simple offline objective.
